 Chuck Morris at Rose Center's annual Mountain Makins' Festival
If it's going on in the community, WJDT wants to keep you informed.
WJDT will announce your community event. Please email your event at
least two weeks in advance to wjdtfm@planetc.com.
Where possible, we try to provide a phone number so you can double
check happenings in the community. Events can and do change without
notification, so we encourage you to call before attending.
WJDT and Q100.7 FM will be the official voices of East and West High

Current Lakeway Happenings
- The 4th Annual Grainger County Humane Society Paws & Claws
Motorcycle Ride will be held Saturday May 24th. Gates open at 10:00
am at Colboch Harley-Davidson in Morristown. The ride will benefit
the Grainger County Humane Society and honor and provide items for
War Dogs and their handlers serving the military around the world.
- The Memories on Mainstreet Antique Show and Sale will be held
Downtown Morristown Saturday May 10th from 10am-4pm. There will
be everything from antique bottles, glass, comics and furniture
to vintage jewelry, musical instraments, dolls and more.There will
also be live music, painting, storytelling, children's activities
and more. All on Main Street, Downtown Morristown.
- Keep Morristown Hamblen Beautiful Inc.will dispose of old or used
cell phones properly at no cost. So bring your old cellphones and
batteries to Keep Morristown Hamblen Beautiful or call 586-6422
for nor information.
- Holston Home for Children is looking for individuals and families
to help with their ministry to children and youth. 1.800.628.2986
- ALPS Adult Day Services Caregiver Support Group meets the first
Tuesday of each month at the ALPS facility, located at 600 N. Daisy
St. Morristown. Meetings begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 12 noon.
All caregivers are welcome to attend. If you have any questions,

- The American Veterans Ladies Aux. # 7 has placed an American Flag
disposal unit at the Hamblen County Courthouse. You can bring all
old, torn & battered American Flags & place them in the
unit. The ashes will be scattered on the graves of our deceased
veterans.
